- Howeida Zaid Henri is the author and trainer of Ethical Dilemmas & scenarios for Medical Interpreter Training.
- Howeida has been a certified healthcare interpreter (Arabic CHI) with the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI) since 2020.
- Howeida was trained and qualified Arabic healthcare interpreter since 2009.

COURSE OBJECTIVE:
- Apply established codes of ethics and standards of practice to resolve ethical dilemmas and maintain the integrity of the healthcare interpreting profession.
- Manage challenging situations while maintaining transparency and supporting effective communication.
- Managing a complex interpreting encounter by making an ethical decision.
- Follow the appropriate protocol and adhere to the Code of Ethics and National Standards of Practice for Interpreters when facing a dilemma.
COURSE REQUIREMENT
- This is live remote training and will not be recorded.
- Participants will need internet access to join the class via a Zoom link.
- This training is for trained medical interpreters with 40 hours or more of training.
- The participant’s name in the Zoom profile should match the name in the registration form for attendance.
- The participant’s name on the registration form will be printed on the certificate of completion.
- Attending the entire duration of this course is required to receive the certification of completion.
CEU:
- This course meets the requirements for CCHI and NBCMI Continuing Education.
- Interpreters will receive a certificate of completion.
- Continuing Education Verification for CEU can be provided upon request.
COURSE COST:
REFUND POLICY:
- A full course refund of $45 can be approved before issuing the certificate of completion.
- There will be no refund after issuing and emailing the certificate of completion.
COURSE MATERIALS:
- Lessons will be presented in a PowerPoint presentation.
- Active participation will be an essential part of the course to facilitate the practice of interpreting encounters.

EVALUATION FORM:
